The full picture.
The Sarangkot Sunrise Ride is Nepal's perfect single-day MTB adventure β accessible to beginners, jaw-dropping for any rider, and finished in time for a lakeside lunch. The Annapurna range seen from Sarangkot at dawn is one of the world's great natural spectacles.
Depart Pokhara at 5:00 AM by bike, climbing the winding forest road to Sarangkot's viewpoint (1,592m) as the sky begins to lighten. Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, and Annapurna II emerge from darkness as the sun rises.
The descent back is pure joy β flowing forest singletrack through Gurung villages, terraced fields, and finally out onto the Phewa Lake shoreline. Breakfast is booked at a lakeside restaurant. Done by 10 AM.

Full itinerary.
Dark streets, headlights on, and the entire Annapurna range invisible somewhere ahead. Ride north from Lakeside through quiet morning Pokhara.
The sky begins to lighten as you arrive. Find your spot on the viewpoint. Then β the show. Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli. Gold, pink, perfect.
Drop into the forest on flowing singletrack through Gurung villages and terraced fields. Phewa Lake appears below, and Fishtail rises impossibly above it all.
Lock up the bikes, find a lakeside table, and eat sel roti, fresh fruit, and butter tea while Machhapuchhre is reflected in the still morning water. Perfect.
