Overview

The full picture.

The Annapurna MTB Circuit is one of the most ambitious mountain bike trips on the planet β€” 221km from Kathmandu test trails through the Marsyangdi valley, up to Thorong La Pass at 5,416m, and all the way back down to Pokhara via the Kaligandaki gorge.

Sections include challenging singletrack near Tatopani hot springs, steep climbs to Muktinath temple (3,802m), and thrilling descents through traditional villages. Some sections require riders to walk their bikes β€” this is not a road ride. Full-suspension is non-negotiable.

This is a 3-week commitment for strong, experienced riders who want to do something genuinely extraordinary. The combination of altitude, technical terrain, and cultural immersion makes it Nepal's definitive MTB experience.

Highlights

What you'll experience.

01
Thorong La Push & Ride (5,416m)Some sections will need to be walked at this altitude. The views from Nepal's most famous pass β€” Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri β€” are worth every gasped breath.
02
Manang Valley SingletrackThe valley above Manang offers some of the finest high-altitude singletrack in Asia β€” rocky, wild, remote, and with 8,000m peaks as the backdrop.
03
Full Kaligandaki RunRide the world's deepest gorge for two full days β€” gorge floor trails, river crossings, and the final run into the subtropical heat near Tatopani.
04
Mustang Desert SectionThe transition from green Marsyangdi to arid Mustang via Thorong La is one of the most dramatic landscape changes you'll experience on a bicycle anywhere.
