Overview

The full picture.

The Poon Hill E-MTB uses Bergamont Bosch-powered electric mountain bikes to transform Nepal's most famous short trek into a 5-day ride with more vertical, more fun, and far more smiling. The e-assist handles the relentless uphill so you arrive at Poon Hill fresh enough to actually enjoy the sunrise.

The route follows the classic Poon Hill trek trail β€” rhododendron forest, Gurung villages, Ghorepani teahouses β€” but adds ridgeline detours, forest singletrack diversions, and trail sections that trekkers are forced to skip. The e-MTB opens Nepal's trails in a completely new way.

Suitable for riders 50+ or those who want the full Himalayan experience without the suffering of sustained climbing at altitude. No MTB experience required β€” only a sense of adventure.

Highlights

What you'll experience.

01
Poon Hill Sunrise by BikeRide to Nepal's most famous viewpoint β€” Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, 14 peaks at dawn β€” under your own (assisted) power. Most people walk this. You'll ride it.
02
Rhododendron SingletrackThe e-assist unlocks trail sections through the rhododendron forest that trekkers can't access. Dense forest, root trails, and flower tunnels.
03
Ghandruk by E-MTBThe beautiful Gurung village of Ghandruk sits on a steep ridgeline β€” perfectly suited to an e-MTB that climbs what a regular bike won't and descends what a walker can't.
04
Accessible AdventureAge 18–75, no MTB experience needed. The e-assist democratises Himalayan mountain biking in the best possible way.
